Sublette County Special Education

Program Details

For infants and children under five years of age, the terms “special education” and “early intervention” are often used interchangeably. Broadly speaking, these terms encompass the full array of services and supports available to infants and young children with developmental delays and disabilities. Children’s Learning Center is the local agency appointed by the state of Wyoming to provide no-cost early intervention and special education for children under five in Sublette County.

Specific services depend on each child’s unique needs and might include support in a classroom setting, therapy services, and coordination of care. If your child is already enrolled with another childcare/preschool provider, we can provide services in that educational setting. If your child is not enrolled at another childcare provider, we will provide services at CLC.

The starting point for every child who might need these services is a free developmental screening. Parents and guardians can complete the screening online through the Ages & Stages Questionnaire® (ASQ®). Once the initial questionnaire is complete, a CLC staff member will contact you to arrange in-person screenings, along with further evaluation if needed. Big Piney Inclusive Half Day Preschool

Program Details

The Big Piney half-day inclusive preschool program services children ages three to five. The program serves children with special needs alongside their typically developing peers. Special therapies are offered in the classroom. Each classroom has a lead teacher and co-teacher.
